If this is ur fist conversion job, u should keep it simple and just install a Holden 308 EFI.


easy no brainer (not to say u dont have any brains tho.) with guaranteed results.

Have you tried Pat Gardiner conversions in Moree NSW, he has a website, and may make a kit to suit this conversion??

Sounds like you are going to have to do a gearbox conversion as well..
So you can also include crossmember, tailshaft, gearbox shifter, gearbox control depending on type (ie auto elec, auto hyd), possible tunnel modifications (dunno if 6 tunnel is diff f

Castle auto electrics (03 5472 1442) make a kit for it, but its pretty expensive. you need a custom sump and pickup, the LS1 sump has all sorts of weird things in it so its hard to make (but you can buy them). you need all the engine & trans mounts et

Am i mistaken to think the Holden EFI heads will outflow any of the Chev heads as well?


with money saved in the conversion using a Holden 308, U can build up a stroker bottom end, and have a Chev muncher.

Standard VN heads are going to flow better than the old standard Chev heads. (they are years and years newer!). I dont know about the Fuellies though. In terms of aftermarket, i think overall chev flows better than holden.

Ed, no offence taken from you comment but this is a 2-3 year project. So cost and time aren't really a factor. Would probably put a toughened th400 behind it and a9 inch down the arse. Tickle it with nitrous and go from there. Looked at capa blowers butn
