I broke my clutch rod last night on the Q on an off ramp from the M5. Great fun no clutch at the lights. Anyway bodgie it up enough to get to a servo then did a good patch up job to get me home.
I replaced it this morning with a nos HOLDEN part from teh local Scott AutoOne. The mechanic who fitted suggested it track down a "Rat trap" wierd name. Which is the rest of the clutch assembly linkage and bring it in to him and they will rebuild it and rebush it, then replace my existing one. 30 years of wear and tear mean it is not long for this life. If anyone has a clutch assembly linkage for a manual V8 HQ clutch lying around could they email me. I'd rather clean up someones shed for a few bucks before I head to the wreckers.

thanks Scott

If I remember correctly (this is brain data from the early 80's) the 6cyl and V8 setups are the same except for the little bracket which bolts to the bellhousing, which doesn't wear. What I'm trying to say is you can use a 6cyl one, with your V8 bracket.
