Are there any RTS experts out there? I have a HQ Monaro and I want to change steering and suspension to Radial Tuned Suspension, as found in HJ HX HZ etc. Aparently its a dramatic improvement ... so the books say. What is required? I have a steering arm from something later and its an inch longer, maybe more. Front and rear sway bars are a part of the RTS improvements but what else do I need? Is it possable? Thanks for any info. BM!

RTS was only on HZ and WB. Basically you need to change your front rails for sedan/wagon/statesman, or whole chassis if ute/van/tonner.

In saying that, I improved my standard HJ years ago by fitting the HZ front and rear springs, HZ front and rear swaybars and using the HZ settings in the wheel alignments (or close to them). This made the car handle much better, not quite as good as a HZ

It's not really difficult on a sedan/coupe. In fact it's a lot easier to paint, fit new suspension and bushes etc to a set of front rails off the car. Of course it's a bit more difficult to change the front springs without the car's weight. The biggest di

Changing to RTS by swapping subframes is a simple straight forward swap. Everything fits fine :-) Some later HX's also had RTS so I've discovered. The shorter steering arms you have are from a power steering setup.

Hi guys.
As Taz2 points out some late HXs had RTS.
Well almost.
The last 6 months of HX had the new control arm & new mounting points with the new alignment figures, but did not get the better springs & shocks & sway bars. Th
