My quadrajet carbied 308 (with VN-VS heads) is getting a VS V8 EFI setup. Only thing is I need some info clarified, so here goes: 1. Am I correct in saying that the pinout for the 2 connectors for the computer (ECM for manual, PCM for auto) are wired completely different re manual vs auto. Looking at the limited wiring diagrams I have, it seems they are totally different. Correct? 2. Going by above, you cant simply then swap auto to manual computers around without re-wiring the engine loom, correct? 3. I understand I have to get the computer re-programmed and the gearbox/security removed from it. Well I have a computer that allready has had that removed, but has also been programmed to open-loop mode, so it ignores the O2 sensor, is this able to be re-programmed back in? 4. Assume a stock standard VS V8 commodore. How would the stock computer handle a cam change?? Would it need to be re-programmed or does it learn?? I ask becuase the 308 allready has quite a hot cam and I dont want to take it out. 5. How have people gotten around the VSS (vehicle speed sensor)????Again, from the limited notes I have it seems the computer will need to know about the cars speed. Thanks for any advice all! I've allready started to convert my manual loom to accept the auto VS computer. BTW, the gearbox in my ute is a Supra 5 speed so no worries there. Cheers Dre
