OK thanks to the useful comments in my last posting I have now hooked up the HZ thermo fan and she works great, actually too well. It runs all the time once the car is started (key is in the on position), OK for this time of year but I won't want that in winter!! What would cause this, could it be a faulty relay or is the temp sensor stuffed?

Thanks

Peter

Aftermarket thermo switches (eg Davies Craig) have three male spade connectors- two of which are connected together. These two are usually very close together. If you have used these two connectors you may have bypassed the swith altogether which will cau

I was running twin thermos and found the points on the temp control switch were fusing together apparently because of the huge current that flows through. I ended up disconnecting one fan. Check the points are not fused together if they are separate them

Doesn't really save the switch unless you put the relay after the switch
