Un plug the wire connector from the air flow meter then start the engine. If it now idles perfectly but dies when you hit the go pedal then your air flow meter has failed or just needs to dry out.
PS what is this rain stuff that you mention?

im having problems with my 86 VL commodore. About 1 week ago the ignition started to malfunction. As the key is turned there is no power to the motor. i have replaced the safety neutral switch and am still having the same problem. the only possibilities t

Have had much problems with my Vl too i have replaces crank angle censor Throttle possition sensor and air low meter to get it just drivable again still hesitates and idles ruff sometimes and otherdays its still perfect? this is how i checked the computer Edited by user Sunday, 18 November 2007 8:27:33 PM(UTC)

hi i was driving home and the my vl holden stalled turned off!!!!!!!1 only problem is my vl is a freaking auto i han to leave it for 5 min then turn it on again...... then this repated all the way 5 times to i got it home it stunk like fule but i dont kn

ive lost spark on my vl commodore executive i just bought it and it has been sitting for a couple of years i did get it running for about 10 minutes then it died ive got power to the coil but nothing after that ive changed the leads got a new coil and cle

i have a vk and about a month ago i was driving along and all of a sudden it stopped, and it didnt want to start i checked for spark and it had a very light spark i changed every thing and it turned out that it was the alternator all along. hope this help

start the car let it idle while it is running take the positive terminal off if it still runs then your alternator is good.

just change the alternator and see what happens. sorry i dont really know any other way of checking

Im having ey problem starting my vl and im not too sure what it is i have replaced the alternator 2 weeks ago. and also when i drive the car just out of know where the car just stalls on me. please help thanks.
