Hi, Got a HZ kingswood V8 wagon that Im taking in for a wheel alignment next week. A mate of mine told me that he took his in once and they told him they couldnt do it because the chassis had been narrowed by the weight of the motor on the cross member over the years, draging the side rails together just enough, as to run out of room it install shims on one side. Is this a common problem. Mine has limited shims on the passengers side. The wheel aligners who did my mates told him he had to spread the rails again. Would this be easy enough to do if required by removing the motor, and jacking the rails appart a few mm? Any ideas?
Thanks. Kingswoody

If you are going to go to that bother I would get a HZ or WB RTS front end get it done up and put it in. Look for one with no chassis number (they do exist especially in cars that have been repaired) the steering is so much better and your car is off the
