Got a major problem with the yellow wire on the ignition switch. It gets hot and wants to melt everything.Once this wire goes into the main harness i can`t trace where it goes.I don`t have a wiring diagram so can someone please tell me where this wire goes too???

It looks like the yellow wire maybe the 12volt ign feed to the coil while cranking, and then in the run position the pink resistive 9 volt wire is then the feed to the coil.

Sounds like a dead short. Doesn't this one go to the starter? Not sure.

Just checked a Gregorys for the HZ V8, the yellow wire goes to the coil. It also connects to the pink resistor wire at the firewall connector (I think it's the firewall connector).
