I,m trying to find a spray paint to match my Kingswoods (original?)paint job.The best way I can describe it is Uluru Orange.It originally had a light grey vinyl roof.Does anybody know of an original HQ color choice chart or auto paint website with a good color chart.I,m seperated from my Q at the moment so cannot get a photo posted here.Any help will be appreciated. If it's a bright orange/reddish colour, it's most likely "Lone Oranger". Go through the paint charts at a trade spray paint retail outlet. All these shops have charts that will also give you the car manufacturer and year of vehicles the paint was used fo |

Hi Guys.
The 2 orange colours used on HQs are Lone O'Ranger & Saffron. Get the paint code off the body plate, that's the easy way to find out.

Hey Paul, the colour of your car is MUSTARD, dulon paint No 15335, a rather common HQ Kingswood/Monaro colour....

Cheers Mon 202 ,I have actually been checking out the gallery at a couple of monaro websites and a 70´s torana website .I have seen a few matches.The color names that seem to match include: Indy Orange and Lone O`Ranger .Where have you found that colour

Certainly looks like "Mustard". Definitely NOT "Lone O'ranger". The trouble with trying to match colours on the 'net, is that everyone tends to have slightly different display colour settings on their monitor, so a "true" colour will vary from computer |

Since we are talking about a 73 Kingy..here are some colours from the 1973-74 colour range. They all should have a red tint to them.
Autumn Gold Mustard Russet Saffron met Salamanca Red Sunburst Met Tangerine

On my computer the colour looks a reddish orange, that's the best description I can give anyway.
Mustard is a badly named colour, because is very yellowy. Indy orange is not an HQ colour, it is used on HTs. Russet is almost a brown. Tangeri |

Go here www.monaroclubvic.asn.auwait for page to load & up the top in gallery you will find & click on HQ, then you will find a list of colours for each year of production, these are limited to colours that were avaliable for the Monaro or GTS, but alo |

Firstly, what is the trim code from under the bonnet ? That will tell you what colour you have 100%. THAT YOU WILL NEED.
Then go to a good paintshop and ask if they can do the old GMH colour in acrylic (DULON).
Ask if they know someone that can colo
