At the moment I have a m21 4 speed, and wish to install a 5 speed.
Is there a 5sp box I can use without having to change anything, eg. tailshaft, bellhousing. A ford nine inch diff and a modified tailshaft are in the vehicle now to suit current gearbox.

you will still have to change bellhousing, clutch plate, modify crossmember and tailshaft if using a supra type box...

Send me an email. I've got a Supra conversion out of a HJ at home. Email address on my website, details in profile.

You could also go with a T5, but again you'll need to change everything you don't want to change. Talk to either Dellows (Sydney) or CRS in Vic.

Cheers, Steve.

Was going to put a commodore T5 in the HQ Prem, it can be done, dellow arn't real keen on the idear as the shifter ends up near your hip, and you may have to modify input shaft as the T5 of the v6 has about the longest input shaft on market. ( they do hav

Should have added, a T5 from a 6cyl Falcon is the go, rather than Commodore ones. The input shaft is shorter, although you still need to cut a little bit into the floor rib.

Trans Diff in Victoria made a big bore version of the Aussie 4 speed.

I don't know if they are still around.

no 5 speed will just bolt up as far as i know.
as stated, go a supra box, purely for shifter location.
T5's aren't as tuff as the supra boxes anyway.
if it was me i would go a tricked out auto....but thats just me
