Hi all, will a bog stock standard manual VS commodore run without a vehicle
speed sensor connected?

I realise that the fuel cutoff on decel and the lean cruise mode will not
function, but will the engine actually run properly??

Cheers Dre

They run, but not properly. Much like a VL will run with it's hot-wire air mass sensor busted. The fuel economy in most cases is crook though.

Thanks, but the fuel economy is only effected by the fact that the lean cruise mode (which only works above 80k/h) wont work (oh and the decel fuel cutoff, which I was planning to bypass anyway, I love the sound of the burbling when your engine braking :)

They also tend to want to stall on decel at low road speeds - like slowing down for red lights.
Cheers,

Mick
