Hi All
what modifications/extra parts or any clearance probs if any are there to put a 350 chev into hx panno that was running 308? Can i still run aircon or would it be easier to stroke out the 308?

Hi sandman 308.

In most Australian states a carby 350 is not pollution legal in an HX.

A stroked 308 would be the easier option.

out of interest, what are the engineering implications of a 350 into hx-wb, seeing as these chassis had the option of a 350 in hq/j?

Hi 70 ute.

As long as the car has front disc brakes & you use the factory crossmember etc, the lack of pollution gear is the only issue.

Thanks for the info. So a chev 350 could be fitted if running on straight gas with no worries? As it is an original sandman I will stick with the 308
Thanks again
