$750 if complete with carby, HEI dizzy and non corroded valley cover. $450 if only a long motor (ie the mentioned bits missing or damaged). See if you can make sure it's not already 0.060" oversize, as then it's not worth a real lot. You might pick one up |

I would break the value down ie. worn bare motor not seized around $100-150 , 4bbl $50.may require a kit , starter $50. electronic dizzy $100, as an idea....complete maybe around $350-450 if its a runner or startable.

Geez. Where do you find 308 stuff that cheap! If you can buy complete blue/black 308 long motors for $100-$150 buy as many as you can find. One of these will normally set you back at least $350. |

If the HQ is a T-bar you are best of buying one out of a late model Commodore. For a V8 this means VL or for a 6cyl this is VK, with the best box being the EFI one. He will need to use a TH400 T-bar though, or pull the trimatic one apart and swap the shif |

I've found that prices vary quite significantly depending on where you live. Here in Tasmania some items bring quite high prices due partially to size of population, economic circumstances as well as isolation & transportation costs. 308's are in fairly |

Ive never seen any 253's down here for that much! crikey. I have a couple rusting in the back yard. 308's though really are a pain to find here in tassie, i got mine from a wrecker in melbourne, 200 bucks plus 70 bucks to ship it to hobart.( for the bo

James.... I'd be really interested to know who you use for transportation. $70 for a pick up in Melb and transport to Hobart is certainly a very good price. I'm in the vehicle dismantling trade, and I can't match that price and we've tried pretty well |
