G,Day every one, will the cast or alloy crossflow cylinder heads bolt onto these old blocks? What has to be done to achieve this conversion? any interesting challenges to this mod? Regards, Pete.

no a x-flow head will not fit, don't matter whether it alloy or cast iron as a x-flow block is around half an inch wider than the pre x-flow.but all is not lost a 250 2v head will bolt straight to any 170,221 etc etc and there an exellent head.

You may get away with throwing the 221internals into the crossflow block.
Thus getting yourself a higher revving alloy head engine.

the best way to go is to use 200 rods in a 250 and the acl piston kit to suit 200 rods in the 250 motor.this makes them rev to 6-7 grand and strokes the engine.turns them into a real quick engine.
