Hi guys A couple of years ago someone replaced my fuel pump to get me out of a bit of trouble. Now she's coughing and farting every time I start her up (and smells a bit petrolly when driving along).... Should I have gotten the carby adjusted or something after the pump was replaced? Nearly forgot.... "She" is hq with a red 202 and extractors. (not sure if the extrators would make a difference).... Cheers

Could be a sticking choke, or a leaky carb. Have a look at the base of the carb with the engine running if it looks damp around there most likely it just need a new float needle or possibly a new float if the old one is punctured. Also when the engine is

Long time thinking about that! Quite likely the needle and valve need replacing, easy job and not too expensive. That is if there is fuel around the carby.Did you check around the carby as I suggested?
