I have an old XY 250 with a damaged head that causes a bad exhaust leak preventing re-registration.To replace or repair the head is much more expensive than replacing the entire engine taking into account gaskets and machining. How much adaptation is required to drop in a 250 cross-flow?Also which is better alloy or iron head cross-flow?

Pretty much straight in. Your gearbox will bolt right up to the crossflow (Auto and Manual have the same crankshaft, so you can just bolt your flywheel or flex plate on there. You may have to change the thermostat housing to get the outlet pointing in t |
