over night the fuel in my rochester runs out and the car wont start until filled again. Is this common and any surgestions on fixing? Craig

Not my department too much - havent seen that before!! Check for leaky seals around the carby, check your breather lines for the return to the tank, if its running back overnight, there's a leak somewhere!!

Yes this does happen. I think that maybe as the motors hot the fuel might evaporate away over night. During the day it will start stright away between stops so the fact it sits for a longer time over night I think that thats the situation. The only grace

yes thats right,all day it will start first go. it has a edelbrock manifold on it maybe they run hotter.not water cooled.

Hi Craig.
It may be siphoning through the accellerator check valve as well when the fuel is hot. Might need to be dismantled, cleaned and re kitted.

Maybe faulty valve in fuel pump allowing fuel to syphon back.

Rochesters can have a problem with the well plugs in the bottom of the main body leaking and this can cause your problem.
