I'm tim, i'm not going to pretend i'm any good with cars because i'm not.
Since acquiring this car the engine noise has changed from what you would normally hear in a small car to a slightly higher pitched noise that seems to react more when the clutch is in and i am changing gears.
I am all out of ideas and would like any help that can be given to me, if needed i can also supply for information to you, if you are of course willing to help.

is this noise in the motor or the clutch? if in the clutch it may be the thrust race? |

I had a similar problem with a very persistent and very annoying high pitched whine every time I drove my car. It seemed to increase proportinally to acceleration and when I backed off the accelerator the noise usually abated to a more acceptable level.

it may be the clutch yes....
the engine noise when i put the car into neutral is not a normal sound, it's slightly higher then a normal engine noise and, well it's hard to explain but it isn't a normal sound... anymore help?
