Ill get some pics up of the chrome parts and more than likely the whole motor - painted and ready to fit in three weeks time! The paint will well and truly finished by then - so look out in the show and shine section fellas!!

Trouble i have experienced in the motor build up so far, if i havent experienced it yet - i will:

1. The right tool for the job is always helpful - using an extension on a ratchet is much easier than trying to bugger around all day/night making a "subs

Yeah - i agree! Im away from home for two weeks out of three, so my neighbour took the photo's of her in the paint shop, i have seen the doors only in the flesh - its finished now (6week respray!) and i wont be able to see her til friday yet! I cant wai

Its called PPG Galaxy Blue! Dare i say it - its a Toyota colour! Look at the new RAV4's and Corolla's, slightly lighter than the blue they come out with!

Hi Keith;

Looks like your doing it properly. The colour should set it off. Don't get too sensitive with tossers having a go. It just justifies them writing what they do. If they are serious about having a dig they should make themselves known. Keep up

Well thats it! I've been taking it slow - doing everything by the book (literally, i have an inch-&-a-half thick workshop manual on holden 6's that im following for all my torque settings and what not!

Slowly, surely, but successfully!

How much have i spent on my car - all up, or simply on motor and ancillaries??

I dont mind answering either!

In total (i have receipts for everything) i have spent just over $15 100 with a further $5000 planned!

The list is quite extensive though

Damn u really devoted to this car aint ya, 20 000.... **** if i had that much i wouldnt be sinking it all into an old car, not bagging you or anything, nice to know some people are devoted to restoring old cars, some are reall good

But what the final product is, is a 1980 model holden, with everything brand new (including fully rebuilt performance motor). Think how much you would pay for a car these days with all the "go fast" bits and new carpets, tinted windows, sports wheel, mag
