Hi guys
Just wondering if a commodore pump can be used with a standard HZ power steeering box. I have a VP 5L in an HJ ute - I am guessing the hydraulics would have to be custom made, but the pump would be a lot cheaper and probably work more efficiently...
Any thoughts on this?

Should work fine. VB-VL 5.0L Commodores used the same pump as a HZ. |

If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0 |

Me again, I haven't bought anything yet, but it seems to be cheaper trying to get the HZ box and any commodore pump. Not sure if the 'droop valve' is far insuperior than varitronic pumps, if the 'droop valve' style pumps make more noise, I'll go for one o

I put a VT 5L one on a VH 6 - with the droop valve, and it was no hassles with the standard power rack & pinion, so as long as you can get hoses to fit it, go for it.
I changed the fitting in the rear of the pump to suit the VH hose, and the only other
