I require new shocks for my VT exec, only I want to go the whole hog and have it lowered about 2cms, camber kits, news springs etc. only i am troubled by which type of shocks to get. I know Pedders have a good reputation, and Monroe is a well known name, but when it comes to choosing between the two I am at a loss.
I know lowering comes at the expense of a good, smooth ride, but is there a middle ground?

Aren't Pedder's shock made by Monroe? Or is that an Urban Myth?

Hi all,

I have had my 2 HQs done by Pedders. All I know is that the labour costs a bit, but sure saves my time and tooling. The 4door corners like its on rails and the Prem wallows the way you want a Prem to wallow. As for the shocks I dont really care

I'd be surprised if Pedders made their own shocks.
Quite possibly they could be Monroes sold under the Pedder name.
If you want good shocks without going overly radical, I'd suggest Bilstein as one of the best around.
If you are lowering the car, make
