i just found myself asking this question. i have some money to spend, but wondered "with the way fuel prices, oil reserves, alternate fuels etc are going, is it worth investing (or wasting) money on my car, when it will be a weekend only, show and event car.
what if i spend $25,000 on my VN, and in a few years it becomes unaffordable. i can see rego etc becoming more expensive for "not so efficient" cars in the near future, to force us into hybrid, electric, fuel cell, air cars etc.
so should i spend my money on a ground up rebuild/modification frenzy, or save it for a rainy day?
your thoughts?

If you don't do something because further down the track it "may" become obsolete, out of fashion, undesireable, a financial disaster etc....then you would have a very non productive boring life filled with constant worry. No, I'm not having a go at you |

The Betas actually are superior to the VHS but didn't have the advertising budget. Petrol will be a fuel of choice for many years yet. They are paying over $2 litre in Europe so there is a lot of room to move. Also petrol is probably the cheapest thing yo

Why would you waste the money on a VN? Sorry if its your dream car or whatever but in my eyes VNs are not worth the time and the money.
