I had a mates one for awhile and it failed the wof for rust below the rear windscreen. Check from inside the boot with a torch for any rust in that area.

Just whip out the board, rip off the fabric, scrub it with a wire brush (to remove all the foam residue that is left) then buy 2m of new material from a trim supply shop (Daleys in Sydney do it for between $25 & $30/m). You then glue it onto the board wi Edited by user Thursday, 27 October 2005 4:46:52 PM(UTC)

Follow commodorenut's advise, don't do the classic bodgie repair-------About 1000 thumb tacks pinning the material back up, still laugh every time I see it done:) If thats all thats wrong with it so far, not to bad.

Sounds like you may have a broken engine mount Jabba...or perhaps the tail shaft cenre bearing is chewed out. VN's are great cars, and quite easy to work on once you become familiar with them. I now have 2 Commodores...an HSV enhanced VN V8 Calais (auto |

Rust is limited to a patch about the size of little fingernail on edge of boot itself. The hood lining is dropping and bonnet lining is coming away from clips.
It has extractors and big bore exhaust, with one of the manifolds leaking slightly (breat |

Looks like it could be A/C related. The vehicle doesn't have A/C in it currently, but there is another fitting around the back of the canister I hadn't noticed which looks like the A/C filler attachment.
The canister is about 4 inches round by 5 tall. |

Driveshaft balance reduced but didn't cure vibration. Is between 30 and 50 kph under moderate load. Leadfooting it vibration goes away, and coating through that speed range also no vibration.
Driveshaft balanced, front and rear unis replaced and cent |
