Okay guys I know you're all more partial to the bigger cars, but I have a question hopefully someone can answer.
I have a (very) early TD Gemini station wagon (one of the first 15) and need to check to see if the numbers match.
I know how to read the compliance plate/body and option plate etc (have the parts manuals etc) but is there any way of confirming whether the body and option plate matches the compliance plate?
The numbers appear to be correct; colour, gearbox type, trim etc however the compliance plate shows it is made in Adelaide (ATD000**A) whereas the body number indicates a Brisbane production car. I've read a few threads here and there about errors in the compliance/option plates and hoping this is the case and not that there has been a swap.

i used to have a td wagon. Great little car. gave me hrs of amusement in the wet!!!!

I was unbder the impression that ALL Geminis were made in Brisbane. As it is so early it might have been a prototype so initially built in Brisbane then sent to adelade for completion or visa versa. This is a bit more common is some other models, built in

That is always a sad thing when certain numbers get cut off in an accident. I know a mate who had an EH which had been restored 20 years ago with a new NOS subframe, which had no chassis number of course. The vehicle was then registered using the number o |

I'm personally leaning toward the built in Brisbane and finished in Adelaide' theory. It's very early (in the first 20 in fact) and hence it may have actually been the first wagon (here's hoping).
Does anyone know how to find out from Holden or somewh

good luck trying to source that info from 20-30 odd yrs ago, holden prolly laugh at the thought of trying to look up that info.
im having trouble getting a wiring diagram out of a vx from them.
