I've got the same problem... the standard hole is a bit too high but not wide enough for a standard single DIN. Shame... I was going to try to avoid cutting it wider, but then - any configuration this HQ ever has will have a stereo in there, a

Try getting a set of door pockets and speakers from a VT. They are supposed to fit and all you do is screw them to your door trims from inside. The VX, VY, VZ ones should fit.

Not a bad site, I'll keep it in mind for later, but it didn't help in this case. But... finally had some success!
Turned out I had a dodgy module. I switched in the module from the second alarm that was going to go into the ute, and it was a

Good, mate, at least the problem is solved.
Let's hope Mongoose come to the party with a replacement Module.
