Hi all got a trimatic, that shifts up gears beautiful, but on automatic change down of gears, it really Thumps Oil level is fine, Someone ripped me a yarn about one of the servo valves in the valving body fails and becomes seperated? Anyone know of this problem and how to fix it????

Where did u get it from ?
Some Shift kit attempts can b dodgy.
Also note some diff noises only occur in decell.

not sure on the servo valves but could the problem lie with the detent switch behind the accel pedal?? What vehicle is it in??

Seems like you have a bit more of a problem there. Long term i would replace it. If you are keen on the car, spend some money on it!

Hi, Dr Terry has got it it in one, I have a spare box stripped down, I am unable to identify the dump valve mentioned, can anyone locate it in the holden hq transmission manual, or otherwise describe where it lives. ta

Hi Guys.
The HQ Tri-Matic does not have the little dump valve, It's in series 2 & 3 which is in HX onwards.
Honestly, it's not an expensive job, let the pros do it, & have it looked at & serviced at the same time. Get some quotes.

For those wondering, I eventually nutted out the location of the "dump Valve" Located between the valve body spacer plate and the transmission casting. It locates in a hole in the said plate on one end and fits in the bottom of the transmission casting, C
