Howdy,
Got heaps of questions regarding my return to V8 land after bub's grown up & the missus goes back to work.

Does the TH700 have an overdrive? Will it fit in a trimatic tunnel (HG) or will there have to be modification to make it fit? What model commie's are they from & do they need a computer or can they function with a carb'd engine? What's the model for the v6? I assume it'd be more common & cheaper, & I assume that it'd handle a mild 308....?

The Beige Hornet.

TH700R4 is a 4spd auto with lockup torque converter. Full hydraulic versions can be found in VN and VP Commodores. VR onwards use the electronic 4L60E. The TH700R4 can be put behind a carbied V8 in a HG, but you will have to do some mods to the crossmembe

Hey Byron I always thought that only SI VN's had the full hydraulic TH700's cause they will hold 1st forever whereas the others will change up to 2nd? What was changed there?
