Hi. Wondering if anyone could brainstorm a problem..
When I turn left in my EJ ute at low speed(std diff), makes a clunk clunk sound. Almost positive it is at the rear, but you know how it is with cars..
All nuts tight on the wheel and shaft to diff bolts fine. Internals of the diff (ie welded etc) unknown. I really don't want to pull her apart if someone has experienced similar.
Any thoughts would be welcomed..
Cheers, HarryO

Hi. Thanks for the reply. No, since I purchased (only on the road recently, haven't touched the diff), have been driving like Miss Daisy. Turn right and no noise. Hope that helps.

I had the same problem with a WB ute - turned out some of the gears in the diff were cactus and needed replacing.

I had a similar problem I had in a toymotor corrosion. Made clunking noises turning in one direction only, and at low speed. Looking at the rear tyres, the left rear tyres were wearing in a very strange pattern. PAtches of wearing alternating from insi |
