G'day fellas, my HZ has a mountain of rust under the windscreen (scuttle panel?) and i don't want to know what's under that, but first things first. How much work is involved in replacing it? Is cutting and welding required? If it's not possible with the limited tools in my backyard, what sort of price am I looking at to have it done by a professional? Cheers for the input

This area is a common rust spot on these old Holdens.
You are right when you say you don't want to know what is under that. Generally what's on the surface is only the start.
Unless you have a well equipped workshop with cutting and welding tools i

Thanks for that fellas. I suppose I might just have to hide and cover it up as best I can then drive it until it dies. Thing is the rest of the body is pretty good, but this looks really bad. The further I dig the worse it gets.
