Hi folks

Can someone tell me if the VR transmission can be fitted to a VS 97?

I know one is the ecotec engine and the other is something different but wasn't sure if the boxes were different.

If it is possible to fit a transmission from the VR to the VS are there other things that need to be considered like ECU BCM etc?

Thanks

Mark H

Hi Guys.

They are not that different. Yes, most engine parts are non-interchangable, but the gearbox bolt pattern is the same. A VR V6 box will bolt into a VS (or later), but it is electrically different and will not shift properly. If you swap the val
If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0
