Hi I'm fitting an M21 into my HZ panel van, took the pushrod bellhousing off to fit a cable bhousing and found oil between the housing and box. Can anyone tell me how to fix this? is there a gasket or sealant behind the 4 bolts that hold the shaft, thanks

There is a seal or an oil slinger/scroll, depending upon the age of the input shaft.

Thanks Byron, carefully removed the cover and put sealant over the paper gasket, also added sealant to the four bolts as it looks like oil could travel up with pressure.
was told the box had been rebuilt it had M21 5ltr kitted F171 stamped on it.

Not sure what all the stamps mean. But almost all M21's are from behind 5litre engines anyway. Only the very occasional 253 and very rare XU-1 M21 were the exception.
