My cousin bought a crappy electric supercharger the other day, and I must say it looks like a piece of crap. There is no way these things can work, right?

Depends on the power. If you have a motor that moves 300 cfm, and you get a fan that moves 500cfm, then you will at the least have positive pressure in your intake which is always better than a vacuum. Just got to have the right setup. You may only get |

No they don't work.
It is just a fan, if the engine is idling it might be moving just enough air to increase the pressure in the intake by a tiny amount (if the pressure increased substantially then it would push its way back past the spinning fan blad

If you use a 500cfm fan on a 350 holley, the fan will be able to keep up with motor, no dramas. what will restrict the fan is the positive pressure which can only be created by the fan itself as the motor will try to create a negative pressure on the int |
