Hi I'm considering buying a 79 HZ premier sedan.Could someone explain the codes I've been provided with.HZ8WN69 466907A.

Hi Jen, the codes don't look familiar to me. The first resembles a chassis number and the second maybe an engine number, but neither of them are complete.

The first code is the model code for a HZ Kingswood. The second is a build/body number and the A on the end means it was built in Adelaide.

A HZ Premier would be HZ8WP69 (not all factories included the W though so 8N69 is Kingswood and 8P69 is Premie

These are the first two lines on the body ID plate, the VIN would be 8N69**L466907Z

Yes it is a Kingswood.

does any one know if you can fix a clock out of a gts dash its a HZ yellow needle and all the other guages are fairly accurate it just wont work at all is there any way of testing it?
