Ive had to relist this topic, as I really need some feedback on this problem I am having... I own a VT Series 2 1999 calais. After every heavy down pour (thanks for the rain Lord) under my feet fills up with water. I know this because the previous owner has cut the carpet, from the pedals to the drivers seat. Enough to be able to stick your hand in and feel quite a large pool of water. By the next day it smells like a dirty wet dogs towel. I can't work out where this water is coming from. Is this a common problem is there something i dont know? Please any thoughts would be helpful. Thanks all... Micko.

More than likely will be water running along a cable or wiring. If the cable is higher on the outside than on the inside, then the water will follow it along. Check speedo cables, clutch cables, radio antenna cable (this was my issue) and also check the g

Could also be a poorly sealed windscreen. As these things are pretty much glued in there is scope for a bad seal
