Yes they are a pain to get back in as you need to hold the spring loaded brushes back and then get the armature back in place, not easy and the brushes want to slip sideways! I'm not sure how they'd do it, but there must be a way!!

I have never put a wiper motor back together...Is there a small hole near the brushes for a piece of wire to go through and hold them back while you assemble the motor?
Cheers...Dave

Try using cotton , loop it around the the brush face ie place it across the brush face the pull both end to the edge of the housing and hold it this will hold the brush in place while you put the housing on. When the housing is almost home look to see i Edited by user Friday, 27 April 2007 2:10:03 AM(UTC)
