Hi I have an hq rev counter it has on the back a switch for 6 or 8 and 2 prongs with earth and coil on them.. Can any one tell me how I can test it to see if it goes??

Can I test it on a 4 cylinder cortina as my V8 has an HEI dizzy 350 chev and the coils are in the cap..

I need to know if its working so I can place a feed back on an auction I brought it from

Any advice appreciated
Keith

Any engine will run it. Switch it to 8cyl and double whatever the revs say for a 4cyl. A HEI should run it - the unused pin on the side of the cap should drive a tacho. It did in my HJ.
