hi have a vp v6 ,around town lucky to get 400km t a tank
anyone had any success of geting it any better, like changing the oxygen sennsor etc

It's best to calculate exactly what economy figures you're currently getting. I do this for a living & the 2 things you have to do before you even open the bonnet is, 1. check that your speedometer (or odometer) is correct (most aren't) and
If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0

hi terry speedo is correct worked first tank i used e10 fuel i got 15.4 lts/100km then used mobil standard unleaded (not sure if it contains any ethnol) got 13.2 lts/100km, might try high octane next.
i was going to try a kn air filter and plantinum plug

13.2 L/100 km is a good figure for Sydney traffic. By all means try hi-octane, but I would check more tank-fulls than just one. I'm surprised by the difference of over 2 L/100 km between E10 & standard unleaded, it's usually around 1 to 1.5

When I used a K&N pod filter on my VR (3.8), I went from 500K per tank mixed driving to around 550K. The best I ever got was a cold weather run from Wellington to Auckland, where I managed just over 700K from the tank.
