i've got the steering shaft out of a vk commodore but need it a bit longer for a different application. does anyone know if any other holdens used the same shaft (ie same diameter and spline) but in a different length? cheers.

Your best bet might be to look at the shaft from a VE as they had front mounted steering racks. I don't know about the spline being the same though.

The non-power steer cars had a longer shaft out of the column compared to the ones with power steer.
May be all you need.
