Hi all, Had a question about the diff on my HZ Premier - 253 with a trimatic, 10 bolt Salisbury. I use this as a daily drive in peak hour traffic - when slowly crawling along (usually on a downhill run) it makes a big clunk when changing gears. My foot is on the brake, and noticed when its just about to change if I give it a bit of accelerator it seems better. It seems to come from the passenger side as well.
Not sure if this was a feature back then, but just wanted to check and see if this was a sign of something needing work / replacing. I've had the diff serviced about a year ago with all new wheel bearings.
Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Dont have dodgy Unis, do you? Get under the car while parked and try to move the drive shaft... Should be able to see any slack in the universals.
