Hi charlie.
I'm on holiday at the moment & haven't got access to my files, but that number is probably a late '69 HT.
The block casting date would pinpoint that more accurately. The casting number that matters is near the oil filter.

If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0 |

The numbers and or letters are as follows= HOLDEN under that a (Q or G) 29 then a screw with a clock and an arrow that points between the 4 and 6 followed by a 4 on its own.

That would be a 2nd of July 1969 casting date. Q would not have been used. The clock is a batch pouring reference and not the time.

For early Holden casting dates the US style is used where the alpha character represents the month, the last number is the last number of the year and the other number(s) are the day of the month. A=Jan, B=Feb etc, I is skipped. With the later date co Edited by user Monday, 11 June 2007 1:54:24 AM(UTC)

You only have to be in front at the end of the race. |
