All the rego history will tell you is the chassis number and engne number both of which you have already. The other numbers will remain a mystery, unless you can find who took them.

Rego only tells you exterior colour not interior colour, and once again it has to be the original rego as a colour change in the 70s was a full on job, very IN to have a bare metal respray in those days, then change the colour on the rego papers and you

It's a HK. That's all apart from built in Elizabeth as you already stated. If you know the build date of other Elizabeth HK's around the same number you can also estimate the build date.

I think your assumption is correct. All V8 HK had the speedo cable hole in the centre. BUT you could order a Saginaw behind a 6cyl, although this is rare. A 10-bolt hump also means V8 mostly, but you could also order a 10 bolt behind a 6cyl I think - Warr

10 bolt only available on 6 cylinder from HQ on, not HK to HG.

1. Not on the car, but on individual components, either stamped or painted. Example, steering box, top left corner viewed from the front. Steering column.
2. Neither. Only from 1/70 did the HT gain a 3rd tag (ADR tag) and then the chassis number appears

Impossible to get HT interior in HK, as back seat is different, plus the pading on front seat is also different.
