When replacing the gasket. I have always used Permatex number 3 glue, however I have found it eventually leaks through the bolts threads, and so on. Does anyone have any suggestions????

If you are talking about the mounting bolts to the block, I always use a sealer on the threads as they are open to the crank case, same with the bolt on the distributor locking clamp,,,, Cheers John
