HI I have an HQ ive just put a 350chev into.
I would like to keep every thing under the bonnet and so today I brought a air cleaner called a low slung one but it was to big in width and hit on my HEI dizzy cap

My inlet manafold is what id call a semi high rise .. the bonnet closes over my carb but I cant tell how much space is left between it and the bonnet..

Any suggestions as to what air cleaner to buy. Or do I have to cut a hole in the bonnet?
Cheers for any advice

Had similar issues myself. I ended up tossing the "drop base" air filter (as it was taking about 5 hp out of the engine according to dyno). Ended up with a triangular "RamFlo" filter, which is a base plate, with a mesh covered foam element above. Worke
