hi, what is the best 4/5 speed gearbox to fit to my HQ?

eventually, i will be fitting a mild 350 on LPG to my ute. i have an iron celica gearbox, but browsing these pages, think it may be unsuitable

i also have a toploader from a 6 cylinder cortina, wondering if thats a goer

or should i go oem with a usa muncie or T5 etc ?

If it was my car I'd fit a TH400 and a 2.6:1 diff. If you want even stronger diff wise a 2.5 or 2.75:1 9" (you won't get a stonger box than the Th400).

For a manual I would use a Muncie. But if you already have a toploader then use it. The advantage of

got a supra 5 sp conversion into V8 1 tonner with CRS bellhousing, crossmember, clutch and 1 ton tailshaft.
