Just wondering is a trimatic an automatic gearbox and if so does it have 3 speeds.

Ok then, I have a gearbox cross member from a HQ Holden that had a 3 speed manual would this cross member take the Trimatic without having to alter the mounting points. Did all HQ to HZs use the same cross member.

Yes the 3spd crossmember will suit the trimatic. HQ-WB all used the same crossmember for the same gearbox and the same chassis. By the same chassis I mean HQ-WB sedan/wagon/statesman are the same and ute/van/tonner are the same. There are other gearboxes |
