Hey fellas i took a head of a black 3.3 today and found it to be a small chamber head . Would this be a true black head or just a blue 173 that someone would have put on.Also anyone no what a standard cc's are for a black/blue open and closed chambers are?

Not really sure. I think it's the same compression ratio as a 149/161/173 high comp red head. This is the same chamber that the 202 XU-1 engine used (red 161HC head) and they were about 10.5:1, but from memory they used slightly higher comp pistons than s

The nominal combustion chamber sizes for Holden 6 cyl engines are 45 cc for the small chamber and 54 cc for the large chamber. AFAIK this is for Red, Blue & Black.

i dont have a cc measure but done it with mm and cameup with 50 on the small chamber and 58mm on the large standard chamber , is cc and mm the same or is there a conversion for this.
