No mounts for a shifter on the extension housing, similar to the difference between an aussie 3spd and 4spd. In fact the Holden specced Saginaw used a 3spd Saginaw extension housing (In HK-HG the shifter was floor/crossmember mounted).

The original hk parts catalogue shows a picture of the extension housing with what appears to be the 3 mounting holes for a shifter. The hk series supplement definitely shows pictures with the mounting holes. Same in the ellery workshop manual

The pictures in the parts catalogue are definitely not of a HK-HG Saginaw. I think the original Scientific Publications (later Gregorys) HK V8 manual has a GTS327 right throught it being pulled apart. The picture on the front is HK.
