I am lowering my Tonner and do not want to use lowering blocks between the the springs and axle. I have been told that if I take one of the smaller leaves from the spring set and invert it on top of the spring set then clamp them together, this will lower the entire profile of the spring set and achieve my aim of lowering the vehicle. Can anybody tell me if this idea is an acceptable way to lower the car. The other way I understand is to send the springs to a shop and have them re tempered and reset. I was hoping to avoid that expense.
thanks

I wouldnt do it full stop. But it does sound like it might work, but isnt it basically the same as lowering blocks? If you dont want lowering blocks, what about building taller leaf spring mounts on the diff and using longer U-bolts. Again the same thing |
