i have a holden 1 tonner and it has small rust patches in it but the worst is just behind the cab on the body rails ,it is also cracking,,,is this common and what is best to fix this

It's normal for a tonner to rust on the tray mount bracket. And yes they crack bad. Especially around the lower control arm rear mount and the shock towers. You can repair it but it may be easier and cheaper to change the chassis. I have a complete rollin
