folks,

Have an HJ GTS/4 running the usual upgrade of 350 + T400. The shifter seems pretty stock (haven't opened her up yet), but is a little sloppy. Drive can be anywhere from N through 2, 2 is about where 1 is, and 1 can't be found at all.

How does one tighten up / adjust these shifters so that a) you get all the gears back, b) the lock button locks it, and c) the gear you are in is that indicated?

You will have to look from the start of the shifter shaft where it pivots in the tunnel,the bushes wear out.Next is where the pivot is,the selector shaft/lower is on the same pivot shaft,but this is held by a roll pin.
These get sloppy as well.
